About Me

Born, raised, and schooled in Pittsburgh, I have over 20 years experience in the analysis, design, development, deployment, and operations of global, mission critical business systems. I’ve more recently been focusing on IT and the individual, particularly with the explosion of mobile devices. Those same devices are for fun too, so I’m exploring that as well.

Given where I was born, I love all teams Pittsburgh, and most sports in general. It’s in the water, or at least in the Iron City Beer. No matter where I’ve lived, it’s always been Pirates, Steelers, and Pens. Pittsburgh has other cool things too, like top-notch universities and great public radio. Check it out.

I’ve been fortunate to live in other cool places like Brussels, Belgium, and Boulder, Colorado. I’ve also been lucky to travel to many others, with Sydney, Australia being at least my favorite representative from the Pacific Rim. There’s a lot left to do though, and I have a lot more to learn.

I have a few hobbies, like training, gaming, golfing and skiing. Recently I’ve added cooking to the list. I enjoy eating (and it’s necessary), so I figured I’d put a little more effort into it. A cooking class helped too! While I’m not planning on going on Top Chef anytime soon, it’s fun to be a little creative in the kitchen.

While there are other obvious social venues to talk about what’s going on, I figured I’d focus on putting  a few things here. It’s at least a brand I can control!
